There are beautiful gardens throughout the hotel and special ones as well:

The only Old Peoples’ Garden of Vilcabamba in the Valley of Longevity is at the Madre Tierra Hotel.
Located In front of the Cosmos Conference Center, what an important experience it is to learn about what natural methods, the organic herbs and plants are still used by the old people to help heal themselves and to stay alive for so long…many living to well over 100. And to hear their stories is a delight as well. You can sign up only at the Madre Tierra for private consultations and for seminars or speakers for your conferences. The old people want to share their knowledge, wisdom, and experiences. And volunteers are welcomed to work in the hotel garden and on their farm.

Organic Vegetable Garden
We have an organic garden on the upper part of our hotel property, above all the rooms, also with vegetables and fruits scattered throughout the hotel grounds for our guests to visit and enjoy (sometimes guests actually volunteer to garden!). We can also schedule volunteers and students who want to garden and learn more about horticulture and organic gardening and biodiversity farming. The gardens provide produce such as yucca, corn, radish, lettuce, spinach, chinese cabbage, parsley, coriander, beans, herbs, flowers, and other interesting veggies and fruits for our restaurant, as well as organic medicinal herbs and plants for teas and for specific healings (many travelers arrive at Madre Tierra ill from their journeys and are healed with the special teas and treatments offered). The gardens also provide harvests of bananas, oranges, mangos, papayas, tangerines and other fruits and nuts (depending on the time of year).

Orchid Garden
Next to the bar and swimming pool there is an orchid garden with more than 200 varieties where our guests can enjoy and photograph these miraculous flowers.
